Cobá is a patron address verification service. Clean patron address data is as simple as uploading your patron file, choosing your processing options, and retreiving your updated files.
With accurate patron address data, you can maximize your return-on-investment for mailings and for population mapping. It is also a great way to clean up your patron records before migrating to a new system.
Cobá will check your patron data against a database of addresses approved by the US Postal Service. All addresses that can be corrected automatically will be added to an output file in MARC format or in a tab-delimitted format. Cobá also creates a file that lists all of the addresses that could not be matched in the USPS data, allowing you to correct those addresses manually. Cobá can also convert all patron zip codes to zip + 4 format.
Cobá Features
- You send us a file of Patron ids and addresses. No names are required.
- Your patron file can be in a tab-delimitted text file format or the III default patron export format.
- Option to flag patron records outside of your service area.
- Upgrade all addresses to zip+4 zipcode format.
- All corrected addresses are returned in either MARC format, or a tab-delimitted text file format.
- All addresses that cannot be corrected are listed in an MS Excel file, along with any possible matches.
Files returned to you include
- Corrected Records: Records where the address has been corrected and updated to postal standards. Output can be tab delimited, comma delimited, or MARC.
- Restore File: For each corrected record, the original data is output to this file so that changes can be rolled back if necessary.
- Unmatched File: Excel file of records that were unable to be matched to any existing USPS address or found to be outside your service area. Each record includes a reason for not being matched or indicates the address is outside your service area.
Cobá Account
- Download the Cobá Account Request form and return the completed form to Quipu Group by mail, fax, or email.
- Once your account has been created you will be notified and given a login.
- A purchase order number is required for Quipu Group to process your file.
